About What’s Your Ministry?

What’s Your Ministry? is an initiative of Orthodox Youth & Young Adult Ministries (OYM), created to help parishes reflect on a foundational question:

How do we help young people feel that they belong to the family of Christ?

Across the Orthodox Church, clergy and parish leaders share a desire to support youth and young adults in ways that are faithful, relational, and sustainable. At the same time, each parish’s context is different. This website exists to help Orthodox faithful think clearly about how belonging is nurtured in their own community and what kind of ministry best supports that work.

What's your ministry?

It's more than a website: it's an invitation to identify the unique talents and gifts given to each person by Christ to use to bring others closer to Him. Here you'll find realistic next steps to strengthen connection, participation, and care among young people, and support that may help them move forward.

Our Approach

The resources featured on this site are curated by OYM from across all Orthodox jurisdictions and vetted by clergy. We offer these to support pastoral discernment, not to replace it. We aim to provide trusted guidance that respects both the teachings of the Church and the realities of parish life.

About Orthodox Youth & Young Adult Ministries

Orthodox Youth & Young Adult Ministries exists to connect, support, and equip the many youth and young adult ministries already at work across jurisdictions. OYM partners with clergy and lay leaders by offering resources, training, collaboration, and encouragement, while honoring the unique calling of each parish.

What’s Your Ministry? is one way OYM seeks to strengthen what already exists and to help young people experience the Church not simply as a place they attend, but as a family to which they belong.
